Action Alert: Just and Compassionate Immigration Reform

Now is the time to pass just and compassionate immigration reform. The senate is expected to introduce a bill in early April.

Urge your elected officials to support immigration reform legislation that prioritizes family unity and creates a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million people who are undocumented in the United States   Our immigration system is broken. Our nation can no longer wait! 

Contact your Senators and ask them to support immigration reform that:

•  Provides a path to citizenship for undocumented persons in the country
•  Preserves family unity as a corner-stone of our national immigration system
•  Provides legal paths for low-skilled immigrant workers to come and work in the United States
•  Restores due process protections to our immigration enforcement policies
•  Addresses the root causes of migration, such as persecution and economic disparity that forces entire families to flee their homes in search of economic and physical security
• Ensures access to key programs and public services that meet basic human needs, including health services and insurance, education, nutrition assistance and working family tax credits
• Opposes legislation that makes the legalization and citizenship process contingent upon border security goals

Reform of our immigration system is a moral and economic imperative.
