Voices for Justice Network

Be a persistent prophetic voice for justice!

“Voices for Justice” is a legislative network of women religious, associates, and laity committed to proclaiming  justice and changing unjust social structures.

The network helps its members to act on behalf of justice in their personal life, family life, community life, work life and political life. It is a faith-based network that uses the biblical principles of justice, Catholic social teaching and the life experiences of poor people as the foundation for their work to create a more just and compassionate society.

The network is action–oriented. Its members aim to make a difference by taking collective action that produces real and lasting change on behalf of persons made poor.

The focus is on issues, not candidates. We are nonpartisan.

Network Members will receive:

• Action Alerts
• Issue-focused fact sheets and legislative updates
• Sample letters, talking points
• Clear instruction on contacting legislators
• Information on advocacy training and education programs

Members are asked to:

• Write, e-mail or phone their legislators on specific issues
• Share the action alerts with their “circle of influence”: family, friends, students, teachers, parents, church community, co-workers, peace and justice committees and other interested persons
• Participate in educational programs/conferences
