SUMMARY:Stand Up for Paid Leave: Visibility Event at the LOB
DESCRIPTION:Join other supporters of the CT Campaign for Paid Family Leave for a visibility event at the Legislative Office Building (LOB) on the first day of the 2019 Legislative Session. This is a chance to show your support and urge legislators to support a comprehensive paid family and medical leave system in CT this year. \nThe group will meet in room 1E of the LOB at 1pm on Wednesday for a brief overview of paid family and medical leave. The group will then line the concourse that connects the Legislative Office Building to the State Capitol and speak with lawmakers as they walk from the swearing in ceremony at the State Armory to the House Chamber\, where Governor-elect will deliver an address at 2 pm. \nPlease note that this will be a busy day at the Capitol and LOB due to the Inauguration and the beginning of the session.  Please check out the Campaign for Paid Family Leave’s Facebook event for more information and to RSVP.  Learn more about the proposal for a Paid Family and Medical Leave program in CT at: https://paidfamilyleavect.org/
