The Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI)
needs your advocacy TODAY!
You may have read media reports over the weekend that TCI was cut from the budget negotiations. While this is true, we are hearing that there is still hope that the legislation could be passed this session. We are not giving up yet and we must keep the pressure on legislators today!
Calls and emails are needed to your local legislators (particularly House members) to urge them to:
- Support SB 884: An Act Reducing Transportation-Related Carbon Emissions
- Register their support with legislative leadership

Hello, my name is ___ and I’m a resident of ____. I’m writing to ask you to support SB 884: An Act Reducing Transportation-related Carbon Emissions and to communicate with leadership about the importance of passing this bill today. The Transportation and Climate Imitative (TCI) will have important climate and public health benefits. It will help our state transition to a cleaner transportation sector and will make important investments in communities that are overburdened by pollution. This program will have benefits for all residents of the state because it will lead to cleaner air and will help address climate change. We cannot afford to wait another year to join this important regional initiative.
