Transportation accounts for 38% of Connecticut’s climate change causing greenhouse gas emissions, and 69% of our nitrogen oxide emission, a leading driver of asthma rates. States across the region are banding together to cut our contribution to climate change, air pollution, and to reinvest in overburdened communities through the Transportation Climate Initiative (TCI).
Join us for a lunchtime discussion on Wednesday, February 17, at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Maria Cecilia Pinto de Moura of the Union of Concerned Scientists. We will discuss Connecticut’s pollution problem, and how TCI can contribute to both public health and racial justice efforts.
