Last month the Collaborative Center for Justice launched its new program, Public Theology Conversations. We were honored to be joined by our guests, Dr. Milton Javier Bravo of Commonweal Magazine, and Olga Marina Segura of the National Catholic Reporter and author of the forthcoming Birth of a Movement: Black Lives Matter and the Catholic Church (pre-order here). If you couldn’t make them, they’re on our YouTube page. Click here to view our conversation with Milton, “The Latinx Catholic Church & the US-Mexico Border.” Click here to view our conversation with Olga, “Black Lives Matter & the Catholic Church.”
The purpose of the ongoing series is to bring together community members with public intellectuals, advocates and organizers who are concerned with mobilizing their faith commitments in pursuit of justice. In each session, we pose questions to our featured guest, break into small groups to build knowledge together, and share some advocacy opportunities participants can engage to put their faith into action. Be on the lookout for future sessions!
