A few weeks ago we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Collaborative Center for Justice! Thank you to everyone who attended our celebration. We heard some challenging, inspiring, and bold words from our keynote speaker, Sister Simone Campbell, SSS who is the Executive Director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice. She encouraged us to “let our hearts be broken open by the world around us” by listening to peoples’ stories and bearing witness to the suffering and challenges of others. Out of this “broken heartedness” and learning about others’ lived realities, we can come to know each other more, and be better advocates for the common good. Sister Simone challenged us to tell the stories of the reasons we need the change.
If you weren’t able to attend but would like to hear Sister Simone’s words, you can take a listen here.
We are so thankful for the support and engagement of our Corporate Members, Board, our Voices for Justice Network, coalitions and justice organizations that we’ve partnered with, and others in the wider community over the last 20 years. We could not do this work effectively without you. We hope that you will continue to join us in this work in the years to come!
